attention former mercora/social fm fanatics. since SF no longer exists i’ve decided to switch over to last fm.
now unlike SF, u cannot webcast music directly using LF but u can create custom radio stations and playlists from any of the audio tracks in LF’s music library, and listen to some individual tracks on demand, or download tracks if the rights holder has previously authorised it. sounds ok to me…

it has been a wild ride. to rptt, texas rock, mad cow, 2 dogs, alain gabriel, ryce and everyone else too numerous to mention,..THANK YOU! it was a pleasure webcasting, listening and connecting with u all. i’ll keep u guys posted here if i do manage to find a new “home”. (tried media master but didn’t like it much..) hopefully we can get together once again,…..
it’s been 10 years to the day since my grandmother passed away. it’s been a long time but memories of her still comes back in bits and pieces…
she wasn’t the all warm and fuzzy, cookies and milk type. from what i could remember of her, she possessed a acid tongue and a gruff disposition (most of the times at least…). pets weren’t allowed and neighbourhood kids would be at the receiving end of a severe verbal lashing every time their cricket/tennis balls struck the front gates. my dad would be wary of interacting with his mother in law, (insert your classic mil jokes here!) as he always managed to rub her the wrong way!
still despite the rough exterior, deep down she loved us to bits. many times when me and my bro. were ill or in some kind of distress, she would be the one to look after us. her cooking was (it it any wonder?) better than my mum’s and she was the one who kept the house running in clockwork precision…
like i said, it’s been 10 years to the day she passed away, felled by a massive heart attack. i’m not that religious but i’ll send silent prayer along her way. here’s to you nana/mmaaa. hope u’re doing well, wherever you are…
there have been questions/comments directed at me as to why there are no naked chicks in this blog. inane logic behind these comments ( posted mainly by my friends i might add ) being that since this is supposed to be a blog, naked babes are a prerequisite here also.
i disagree. since there are plenty of other sites on the net where u can get pics of hot chicks, naked or otherwise, i do not wish to follow suit here. still, i have included a link on my blogroll for such a site.

the p2p radio site known as social fm has been offline/off air since last week. attempts to access it has been an exercise in futility. heck, even it’s myspace widget has been disabled…
there had been rumblings about it’s future. some users had commented to me about the fact that all was not well at social fm hq. still it came as a bit of a shock to me one day to find out that social fm, the website i depended on to discover new and hard to find music has been completely disabled…
if anybody out there knows the actual reasons why this has happened please let me know. there are a lot of suprised DJs and users out there. hopefully, this is just a temporary setback and social fm will re-emerge better and stronger…
joined the bandwagon and finally bought my first ipod, a nano to be exact. reason being that my previous mp3/mp4 player finally packed up after around one year of (heavy) usage.
it really is a thing of beauty, this apple ipod. slim, lightweight and well designed. unlike the chinese branded mp3/mp4 players it does not have a radio, voice recording or a loudspeaker but hey, i’m not complaining. the sheer user friendliness alone makes it worthwhile.
it does have (among other things) a world clock, calendar & stopwatch, contact book, built in games & tv out facility. special mention must be given to the display/screen. simply outstanding in my opinion. pictures are crisp and colours vivid. video playback is smooth and a joy to behold. oh, did i mention the user friendliness? i love the coverflow option…
forget iriver, forget creative zen and the like. if u got cash to splurge on a mp3/mp4 player, splurge it on an apple. you won’t regret it…
NIN has done it again! the band/trent reznor have released a new album titled “the slip” and its available as a free download from their website. the difference this time is that the album has been created solely as a thank you to loyal fans for their past and present support. in fact, trent reznor has posted a blog comment on the official NIN website saying, “thank you for your continued and loyal support over the years - this one’s on me.”
